Winnie the pooh toys

I can not think of a single person who doesn’t like Winnie the Pooh toys. These play items for children bring back great memories for even the staunchest grown-up. Pooh Bear and his companions have come a long way and they have seen many changes. One thing that never changes is the appeal of these loving characters.

Perhaps the appeal in the Winnie the Pooh toys is their association with great stories. The original stories were created for a specific little boy in mind. Christopher had a loving relative who made up the well-known characters, including Christopher Robin who was named after the little boy. The affection behind the creation of these beloved characters seems to seep out of the Winnie the Pooh toys even today.

There is no wonder that I chose a Pooh Bear theme for my daughter’s nursery. There are a lot of baby room decorating ideas that blossom out of the old children’s stories. I had no trouble finding a lot of decorative items as well as Winnie the Pooh toys to fill the nursery in no time at all. The theme carried into my baby shower party as well.

Many of my friends and relatives embraced the Pooh Bear theme in the baby shower. My grandmother was among the guests at the party. She is unable to drive so my grouchy grandfather drove her to the baby shower. My grandmother was delighted with the theme and she brought a few Winnie the Pooh toys as gifts for the occasion. My grandfather grumbled at the whole scene which made me wonder why one earth he didn’t like Pooh Bear. I thought everyone loved the character. Of course, he left during the celebration and we enjoyed our all-female baby shower party. I have never seen so many Winnie the Pooh toys in my life. Among the Winnie the Pooh toys was a group of classic Pooh items. I had no idea that this line of products even existed and I wish that I had before I even started decorating the nursery and before I added items to the baby shower gift registry. I fell in love with the classic Winnie the Pooh toys and this led to some trouble in my immediate future. I knew that I was going to have to return the modern Pooh items and nursery decorations to replace them with the classic look. When my grandfather arrived to take Grandma home he caught a glimpse of one of the classis Winnie the Pooh toys. He picked the bear up and held it at arm’s length saying, “Now that is Pooh Bear!” I guess he loved the stories, too.
