Sex for pregnancy

Some say that having sex with the aim in mind of getting pregnant feels and is totally different from just having sex for the simple pleasure that it brings to both partners. When having sex to get pregnant the lovemaking is generally slower and of a much more sensual and romantic nature than sex for just pleasure.

The whole aim of wanting and having a baby together is to show the love that the two have for each other and this reflects in the lovemaking. However, while romance plays such an important role, there are also many other factors which should be taken into consideration when having sex with the intention of trying to get pregnant. For example the surroundings and situation in which you are making love, can make a huge difference as can the timing and even the position in which you make love.

Location, location, location

Where and when you make love can make a big difference to the chances of how successful the woman is at getting pregnant. Romantic surroundings which portray love and make the woman feel safe and secure can cause her to not only become much more relaxed but also increases the chances of her getting pregnant. A romantic candlelit dinner at home followed by wine and a lot of touching, kissing and caressing as the build up towards the love making makes for the perfect mood and situation.

Position counts

When it comes to the position in which you make love there has been talk of this making a huge difference. It has been said that there are some positions that can increase the chance of you getting pregnant while there are others which decrease the chances. While there hasn't actually been any scientific proof that certain positions do work more than others, it is only common sense that some could. For example any position where the man is on top means that there is deeper penetration and as such this places the sperm much nearer to the opening of the womb and so must increase the chances. Positions that could make getting pregnant harder include any position where the woman is on top, sitting or standing. The reasons behind this are really simple when you think about it, any of these positions defy gravity and the sperm has further to travel to get to the wombs opening.

Orgasms count

There have been myths about orgasm when getting pregnant, while of course it is essential that the man has an orgasm to release sperm, it is also now thought that the woman's orgasm can make a big difference too to the chances of getting pregnant. It is thought that if the woman reaches orgasm just after the man that the contractions within her body increase and improve the chances of her getting pregnant as they draw the sperm further into the womb. Of course this can take some timing to achieve, so don't put too much strain and stress worrying about reaching orgasm at the same time or just after.
