There are several symptoms that a woman may experience that will lead her to believe she’s going to be a mom. This can result in both elation and a feeling of utter terror. When you think you may be pregnant it can be virtually impossible to concentrate on anything else. With an EPT pregnancy test a woman can find out within minutes whether or not she’s expecting. Decades ago a woman would have to visit her doctor to find out whether or not she was pregnant. This could mean endless days of wondering. Now all she has to do is stop by any drug or department store and buy an EPT pregnancy test. The tests come in two different types, but regardless of which one you use, you’ll have very accurate results, in the comfort of your own home within just a few minutes. These home tests are very similar to the ones administered at a clinic. They are able to detect if a woman is pregnant by a substance in her urine. With the EPT pregnancy test a woman just needs to test her urine sample and she’ll have very clear results. You can find these in either a single pack or a package that contains two tests. If you’ve taken the test once and gotten a false result it’s a good idea to do another EPT pregnancy test a few days later. The reason is that some women perform the test the day after they expect their period and it doesn’t arrive. Even though they may very well be pregnant, the EPT pregnancy test, or any pregnancy test for that matter, cannot read the small amount of the pregnancy hormone. Purchasing a two package kit is the best bargain and it gives you something of a second opinion. It’s advised to take the test right after waking in the morning. This can be difficult for some women as they are already pressed for time. If that’s the case they should take the EPT pregnancy test later in the day. The only difference is that the hormone that the test is reading is very concentrated in the first urine sample of the day. Naturally it’s present all day long, but for the best results, earlier is better. Once the results are in some decisions need to be made. If the woman realizes that she is pregnant, pre-natal care is a must. She should see her doctor as soon as possible and explain that she took an EPT pregnancy test. Depending on the physician they may or may not order a blood test to confirm the pregnancy. If you aren’t pregnant, but still don’t have your menstrual cycle within a few days, it’s also a good idea to see the doctor. You may have contaminated the EPT pregnancy test kit so the results weren’t accurate. Another common mistake is taking the test and retesting too early. A doctor can examine you and run further tests to make a proper diagnosis. |
